At 95°F (35°C), the Eclipse XT lenses darken to transmit 20% of the light at an 80% tint. In a matter of seconds, the lenses will darken to full capacity. In addition, the Eclipse XT lenses block 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays in both clear and darkened states.

Anti-Reflective coating adds 4 benefits:
- Helps decrease halo effect around lights at night
- Adds additional premium Rx grade scratch coat to the lenses
- Lenses will resist dust, fingerprints, oils, and water
- Helps the lenses react even faster to UV rays
Eclipse XT Transitions™ Polarized
The Eclipse XT Polarized lenses polarize and darken when exposed to the sun’s UV rays. However, the lenses do not get as dark as the non-polarized Eclipse XT lenses. In addition, the Eclipse XT Polarized do not darken behind a windshield or a visor. However, bikers have been very satisfied with the darkness of the polarized version.
The Transitions™ XtrActive™ Polarized lens has been recently upgraded and gets even darker than before. So, if you are more sensitive to glare, Bikershades recommends the Eclipse XT Polarized. You will be happy with the increased clarity and protection from bright sunlight. Polarized lenses reduce glare from shiny surfaces such as water, chrome bumpers, windows, car hoods, mirrors, and roads!
